A Competitive Edge: ECPI and the Investability of ESGECPI is an independent company dedicated to sustainability Research, Rating and Indices and has been active in integrating Intangible Value/Non-traditional Risk Factor Research i.e. Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) with mainstream quantitative financial analysis since 1997.
ECPI was founded by a team of professors from Milan's Bocconi University and Business School and professionals experienced in the financial field. Their aim was to develop the unexpressed potential of sustainability studies when applied to financial markets.
ECPI's core consists of two teams, one of analysts based in Milan and another, based in Luxembourg, for index construction and maintenance. ECPI's international team of analysts speak over 10 languages collectively and are specialists in their respective fields, drawing experience from the financial services industry, academia, environmental consulting and journalism, among others.
ECPI's research analysts produce ESG-related Ratings on traditional and innovative asset classes such as Equity and Credit Portfolios, Hedge Funds and other alternatives. ECPI's index team of financial experts is responsible for producing a full range of Beta and Alpha Market Indices (ECPI® Index Family).
These two teams work in synergy to ensure that the quality of end products is to clients' needs.
ECPI's proprietary screening methodologies have evolved after a decade of input, resulting in an extensible and powerful tool for its clients. ECPI's 4.000+ strong databases of companies, governments, hedge funds and other issuers is regularly updated and designed to provide maximum flexibility and high fidelity to the latest issuer developments.
ECPI Indices are constructed across all asset classes and distributed through all major data vendors, providing optimal accessibility for clients.
ECPI processes have been ISO 9001 certified by independent auditors since 2006, for its constant cross-checking and regular internal progress reviews.
