Michele Calcaterra Director
Michele is a founding partner of ECPI, the Chairman and CEO of ECPI Group and the head of its sales department. A senior faculty member in the Corporate Finance & Real Estate Department of SDA Bocconi School of Management and, from 1991 to 2007, a frequent advisor in M&A transactions, corporate valuations and fairness opinions, Michele has been the driving force behind ECPI’s sustainability and ESG research since its inception. Michele was also a founder and member of the scientific board of the Ethical Finance Observatory (Osservatorio Finetica).
A graduate of Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi (Financial Economy and Corporate Finance, 1989), Michele took part in the International Teachers Program at the London Business School (1991), a faculty-development program of International Schools of Business Management (ISBM), a group of leading European and U.S. business schools.
Ignazio Basile Manager
Ignazio is partner and board member of ECPI Group. He is full professor of Financial Institutions Economics at University of Brescia. Previously Ignazio has been Senior Partner of Banca Esperia, CEO of Duemme Hedge SGR; board member of Mediolanum Gestione Fondi SGR, Duemme SGR, Duemme Capital Ltd and Reit Capital SGR; President of the Supervisory Board of Banca Leonardo. Ignazio is currently a member of the Supervisory Board of Credit Suisse Italy and member of the Surveillance Body of “Azimut Previdenza” pension fund.
Lorenzo Pelizzola Manager
Lorenzo is partner and Chief Operating Officer and Head of Technology. Prior to joining ECPI, he was an executive director of the London Stock Exchange Group with responsibility for technology, operations and data management of MTS S.p.A., a pan-European inter-dealer and dealer-to-client electronic fixed-income trading platform. Lorenzo had previously held sales and marketing and product development positions at JPMorgan and BNP Paribas in Milan, London and Paris. Lorenzo is a graduate in Finance and Business Administration of Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi.
Camilla Bossi Head of Sales
Camilla joined ECPI in 2007 and is responsible for ECPI’s sales and marketing strategy implementation targeting pension funds, foundations, banks, asset managers and insurance companies. Before joining ECPI, Camilla was consultant at Barabino & Partners, the leading corporate communication group in Italy, and junior correspondent at Reuters newswire. Camilla holds a Master in Economics majoring in Labour economics from Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi (2004).
Filippo Bucci, CFA Head of Indexing
Filippo joined ECPI in 2007 as ESG Analyst. He is currently leading the Index Solutions Team. Before joining ECPI, Filippo worked in Henkel Italia in the Administration & Customer Credit Department and in CentroSim in the Financial and Macroeconomic Analysis Department. Filippo holds a Master Degree in Economics from Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi, Milano.
Francesca Ruggiero Head of Research
Francesca joined ECPI in 2005 and she is currently leading the ESG Research Team. She has previously worked as Index specialist in the ECPI Index Department and holds a degree in Political Science, Applied Economics. She has attended the SDA Bocconi School of Management.
Agnes Kirschenbaum Head of Rating
Agnes joined ECPI in 2007 as ESG Analyst and has, ever since, gained broad knowledge of the sustainable investment sector. She is now responsible of ECPI ESG rating activity. Before, joining ECPI Agnes worked and completed traineeships at the Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt (Germany), Integrated Financial Products in Lugano (Switzerland) and the CEE Real Estate Group in Budapest (Hungary). She also worked as a volunteer at environmental NGOs in Hungary, France, Poland and Israel. Agnes holds a MSc (Master of Science) degree in Environmental Sciences from the Central European University, Budapest and the University of Manchester (UK) as well as a Bachelor in Economics and Business Administration from the Budapest Business School and the University of Lincoln (UK), having attended a dual degree program for both her bachelor and her master degrees.
